Whew! It’s been awhile since I posted here. If you follow my regular blog, Kink & Poly, then you know why; if you don’t, suffice it to say my life outside of writing and kink got pretty hectic. (Or if you like, you can read a more detailed account here: Kink & Poly – A Poly Life.) In any case, I decided to come out of my semi-seclusion for the sole purpose of joining the Big Book of Submission Blog Tour, a blogging extravaganza that has lasted all summer and taken us all over the interwebz to promote the publication of this awesome, kink-filled book. I am proud to be counted among the many fine authors in the book, and thrilled to be here to talk to you about it. As I look back at the many and varied blog posts for this tour, here at the almost-tail-end of it all, I wonder: what more can I contribute?
A review? It’s been done, and far better than I ever could, at Critical.com, Robot Lovers Prey on the Lonely, Reviews@Hedo Vibes, Valerie Alexander and Septimus Reviews, to name just a few. There are dozens more on Amazon and on Goodreads.
Talk about the backstory of “Following Orders,” my own story in the volume? I’ve done that before for my story in Cheeky Spanking Stories and others, I don’t want to bore y’all. Not that reading others’ “story behind the story” posts bores me – I love to read and hear other writers talk about what motivates them and where they get their stories, and this blog tour had several of those as well: Jade Waters tells a hilarious story about writing her story, “Others,” Sex, Food and Writing talks about how she came to write “The Perfect Gentleman,” and Quixotic Orchard tells us what it’s like to publish her first BDSM erotica – without ever having experienced it herself.
So how about posting an excerpt of my story? Oh wait, that’s already been done, too. Read excerpts from every one of the sexy, steamy, kinky stories in the book.
So if all that hasn’t sent you clicking over to Amazon to buy the book, what could I possibly do to inspire you to do so? What can Icontribute to the fabulousness of this blog tour? Hey! How about I read an excerpt of my story? Oh…hmm…that’s been done too, by the sultry-voiced Inara Serene, reading her story “Storytime,” in which a submissive reads an erotic story aloud to her Dom. (Really, go have a listen – yumm!)
And then I thought of the perfect thing. Why don’t I pick three different stories and read excerpts aloud – on video – while the action that is taking place in the book is being done to me??!?
I know, it sounds crazy, but…y’all know I’m an exhibitionist, don’t you?
